Tyler is one of the Future of Privacy Forum's leading thinkers on education privacy. He has extensive experience tracking trends in state legislation affecting students' privacy across the United States. In addition to his state-law work, Tyler is in charge of vetting application for FPF's Student Privacy Pledge, which obligates its signatories to maintain privacy standards protecting students' data. In his role at FPF, Tyler has explored how to strike a balance between responsible data use and meaningful privacy protections for students.
