Liberty Elementary School


Paul Pack is the Principal of Liberty Elementary School, which was recognized as the 2018 FETC STEM Excellence Elementary School. This STEM Focus School is a product of school-, teacher- and community- ownership. The program was shaped from the implementation of design thinking that integrates STEM, PBL, and computer science in each k-5 classroom. The implementation of the Liberty SMART Lab provides a collaborative approach to technology projects and job-embedded professional development for teachers. For this work, Paul was recognized as the Washington Post Principal of the Year in 2018 and previously spoke at the Innovative Schools Summit, NAESP (National Association of Elementary School Principals) and the Virginia's Children's Engineering Convention.
