Rachel earned her B.S. and M.S. in mathematics education from Florida Institute of Technology. She served as mathematics department head, teaching high school math and physics for almost 10 years before joining the Kennedy Space Center in 2008. Rachel is passionate about using technology to design and deliver professional development and STEM engagement programs that connect NASA with classrooms across the nation. Over the last decade at NASA, highlights of her job have included interviewing scientists, astronauts, and even Elmo during webcasts, flying a Zero-G flight, broadcasting the 2017 solar eclipse live from a baseball stadium, and building partnerships with many STEM organizations. Rachel is always ready for the next STEM adventure.
