Description

According to a nationwide survey, although more than 90% of kids in America play video games, only 18% of teachers use digital games in their daily instruction. This session will highlight the importance of game-based learning and how one man’s vision to increase the number of girls in computer science transformed the lives of students and teachers across one of the largest districts in Florida. This session will showcase the steps one district took to create a Minecraft Lab with hopes to inspire other schools and districts worldwide. Watch testimonials from parents, students, and teachers, and learn ways to implement game-based learning in your school or district to impact Every School. Every Classroom. Every Student. Every Day.
