Description

Cyberattacks on K-12 school districts have spiked over the past 12 months, with high-profile incidents splashed across national news headlines. Many district IT staff are overrun with putting in place the required safeguards and adequate protections that change daily. FLVS (Florida Virtual School) is on the front line in helping districts develop and implement effective cyber defense and hacking mitigation strategies. In this workshop, participants will get an honest assessment of where they stand and gain helpful strategies to improve their current defenses and processes. Gain new insights from the certified experts that get the calls for assistance. Learn how data standards and other easily accessible tools and tips can lower your district’s risk and the cyber hack target on your IT staff’s back.  All workshops are BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Participants are responsible for bringing a wifi enabled device with all workshop software/apps downloaded before attending.
