Description

With the launch of its Skyline Project, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is establishing an equitable digital learning ecosystem, deploying a state-of-the-art digital curriculum accessible to students and teachers any time, any place, anywhere. From the beginning, the CPS team emphasized equity through accessibility and personalization. Considering the pandemic, Skyline took on the paramount issue facing public education. As the launch approached, “kinks” in the CPS data flow surfaced, challenging a smooth deployment and creating potential technical roadblocks for access and equity. The CPS team was able to map out critical data flows and focus on areas that IMS Global standards address. In this workshop, discover what CPS learned from the mapping exercise and its steps to resolve challenges. Through an interactive exercise, workshop participants will create their own digital learning ecosystem maps and build a digital access and equity roadmap for their school and district.  All workshops are BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Participants are responsible for bringing a wifi enabled device with all workshop software/apps downloaded before attending.
