Description

Got questions about copyright? Educators, students, and school leaders have a growing need for exciting images, texts, and music. The World Wide Web can present an overload of materials, which seem easy to copy, use and share. These come with often dubious origins. Where should one begin? Let’s begin with modeling appropriate and ethical practices for our students. Let’s explore and dialogue around copyright, creative commons, and fair use guidelines. Leave with a knowledge of how to conduct a search for copyright-free materials and with a full toolkit of resources- images, texts, and music that can be used for creating content or for instruction. Come get the good stuff.  All workshops are BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Participants are responsible for bringing a wifi enabled device with all workshop software/apps downloaded before attending.
