Description

A student struggles with basic factoring but wants to skip from Algebra 2 to AP Calculus. Another student struggles with study skills yet wants to take an advanced English class. Communicating glows, grows, and potential challenges with families can be difficult, but with the use of tech tools and data these conversations can go more smoothly. In this session, attendees will learn how to cultivate student and school-wide data with Microsoft tools and use this data before, during, and after conversations with families. Attendees will also learn how to guide these conversations on academic progress, student goals, and suggested pathways so that they can implement these strategies at their institutions or organizations.  All workshops are BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Participants are responsible for bringing a wifi enabled device with all workshop software/apps downloaded before attending.
