TABLE 3: Turn your closet or unused office space into a design lab aimed at inclusion, differentiation, and equity. Provide students with tools they wouldn’t otherwise have access to, and foster a love for inquiry/problem-based learning. In this session, you'll learn the concepts of Design Thinking and how they can be used to engage students in any curricular area. Then, learn how to translate that understanding into a Design Lab furnished with emerging technologies including Cricut machines, podcasting booths, DSLR cameras, Green Screens, Sewing Machines, Robotics kits, and more! Then, learn about strategies for sharing student creations with the community. For many, the hardest part of successful implementation of Makerspaces is understanding how to connect the tools and resources to curriculum in meaningful ways. Let us show you how!
