Profile

Billy is in his 8th year as an Instructional Technology Coach, working at the elementary and high school levels. Billy's work in digital citizenship has impacted thousands of students and families in Prince William County and neighboring school districts. He is a leader in preparing schools to be Common Sense certified. In addition, Billy is leading a movement in Prince William County to advance project based learning through innovate space design, student agency through social and emotional learning, and the power of podcasting to amplify voice and community among educators, students, and community partners. Prior to transitioning to educational technology, he was a leader in the special education field for nine years culminating in recognition as Virginia's Special Education Teacher of the Year in 2014.
