The Minerva Baccalaureate (MBacc) is an innovative college preparatory program that teaches high school students essential skills across disciplines. MBacc is a new curriculum designed by the world’s most innovative university that helps forward-thinking leaders who want to enhance their schools’ reputations and impact by better serving the needs of modern learners. It takes the best of science-backed strategies in learningsuch as fully active pedagogy, outcomes-based assessment, and repeated, spaced practiceand combines them in a hybrid modality that makes learners and schools more resilient. Traditional academic subjects (science, social studies, literary arts and math) are woven into a cohesive interdisciplinary curriculum that helps students better master durable skills that are crucial for success in college, work and life. A unique personal skills track addresses social-emotional competencies rarely addressed in traditional high school programs. Class discussions are conducted over Forum, Minerva’s proprietary learning platform, which offers instructors real-time feedback on student engagement to improve their teaching efficiency and effectiveness.
