Description

The movement to implement multi-tiered systems of supports asks districts to consider how to integrate a range of academic and behavioral supports for all students. Academic support includes assessment and screening, instruction in multiple subjects, and ongoing progress monitoring. Behavioral support programs employ a parallel set of practices that are intended to address problem behavior, bullying, trauma, and mental health challenges. National expert and author Jeffery Sprague will demonstrate how to adopt and align MTSS practices, with a focus on integrating multi-tiered behavioral, social-emotional, mental health, and academic support systems in schools. Attendees will learn to identify variables that impede effective, sustained implementation of MTSS and leave confident with strategies to support all students.
