Description
Over 80% of educators nationally report that COVID-19 instruction aggravated existing student mental health issues or raised new concerns regarding the impact of mental health, emotional, and behavioral difficulties on learning. As educators, we’ve boldly gone where no one has gone before during the last year, and instruction revolutionarily changed. But not all students accessed virtual learning equally, and schools need to proactively address the legal consequences. This entertaining, engaging, and practical session, delivered by nationally recognized litigator and law professor, John Comegno, drills deep into the Child Find and “comp ed” issues schools need to address now, providing practical solutions to limit legal exposure, as well as continuing the discussion about accommodating students virtually.
