  • Session Number: AC6
Wednesday, June 17, 2020: 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

Lab Manager/Program Manager
Center for Communication Research, Texas Tech University

In many universities, research is a necessity. Depending on the type of research, the costs associated with acquiring equipment could be very substantial. One way to control costs is to create a shared space for research. In addition to offsetting the costs of having multiple pieces of the same equipment, this setup allows for increased collaboration and earning potential from renting out some of the spaces to outside community groups. This session will show what we have built at Texas Tech University, the type of equipment we have acquired, and how we navigate the difficult logistics of shared research space.
