Research on women in IT has illustrated that proportionality remains stubbornly problematic across industries. At the same time, the #MeToo movement and other social factors have ignited conversations across the board around diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging. Through stories (my own and other women’s), data, and discussion, this session will explore practical ways that women in IT are changing and can continue to change the conversation, leading our organizations to a place where we not only achieve proportionality across the board, but alter our organizations’ cultures to be the inclusive and innovative places we all dream about. This honest and hope-filled interactive session will explore how to change the world of work for women in IT.
