PARI
Port and Airport Research Institute (PARI) is a part of National Institute of Maritime, Port and Aviation Technology in Japan. We have been dedicating research and development for ports and airports in order to contribute smooth construction, and improvement of related technologies.
Among our research and development, we exhibit 3 topics;
1. 3D acoustic video camera that visualizes objects even in muddy underwater environment. It is small to mount on ROV or underwater equipment. It is useful for port construction and ocean development.
2. Information Presentation System for underwater backhoes working in port constructions. It shows operators measured shapes and planned shape of structures around machines. It makes underwater constructions more effectively.
3.Inspection ROV for superstructures of piers. It can detect its own position without GPS which don’t reach under piers, and takes inspection photos with the location. It helps us to make inspection records for planning maintenance.
