Dartmouth Ocean Technologies bringing Innovation to Ocean
Dartmouth Ocean Technologies Inc. (DOT) is a recently formed sensor platform company bringing innovative technologies to market. The company specializes in platforms to carry a variety of sensors, and is associated with a sister company Aquafluidic Sensors Inc. (ASI) that is emerging from Dr. Vince Sieben’s lab at Dalhousie University. Dr. Sieben and his team are developing wet chemistry Lab-On-Chip (LOC) sensors. One of the first sensors to reach maturity is a phosphate sensor.
The D Wing and other future products will also serve as platforms for Aqua Prism Sensors (APS), and 5-Carbon Sensors both sister companies which are developing phosphate and environmental DNA (eDNA) sensors.
The company is planning an exciting future as the team prepares to start marketing platforms for the ocean community. These platforms will carry a variety of sensors as required by users in several different markets – ocean science, research, aquaculture, oil and gas and defence.
