With more than 15 years of experience developing and commercializing technologies for human diagnostics, food safety, and agriculture, Dr. Vaught brings a diverse background with both a strong scientific and practical business acumen.
As Founder and CEO, Dr. Vaught oversees all aspects of Front Range Biosciences’ operations and drives the company’s vision. This includes all processes and operations related to breeding and development of the company’s Clean Stock® program, development of new intellectual property, and buildout of greenhouses and facilities. Dr. Vaught also develops strategic relationships with clients, investors, growers, universities and trade groups.
Prior to founding Front Range Biosciences, Dr. Vaught served as the Director of Assay Development for Velocity Sciences, and Senior Scientist for Beacon Biotechnology and SomaLogic. He is an inventor on two patents and an author on seven publications in peer reviewed journals. He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He also operates a small farm at his residence in Colorado and is the founder of Mountain Flower Dairy, a 501c3 non-profit in Boulder, focused on providing educational opportunities for the local community to learn more about animal husbandry and their food origination.
