Description

For centuries of world and American history, the death penalty was considered an unchanging, proper, and necessary response to extreme crimes. Capital punishment was seen as set in stone, and the service of justice had no need of change. This presentation will discuss new ideas emerging in many parts of the world that question these perceptions from a variety of viewpoints and consider the changes that might be needed and how they could be implemented.
