Rhiannon Mayne

Profile

Dr. Rhiannon Mayne is a planetary scientist and Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Geological Sciences at Texas Christian University. She curates the Oscar Monnig Meteorite Collection and directs the Monnig Meteorite Gallery, where she works with extraterrestrial materials to explore the history of the Solar System. Her work spans research, teaching, and public engagement, with a focus on making planetary science accessible through hands-on experiences and real meteorites. Dr. Mayne has a BSc.Hons. in Geology from Edinburgh University and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
