American Mensa would like to invite graduate students from local universities to present to our members on your unique research at our Annual Gathering.

Following the model of poster presentations, we'd like to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate-level research while providing you with the opportunity to present your research to those outside of your discipline.

Here is what you get:

  • Heavily discounted student registration pricing.
  • The opportunity to present your research to inquiring minds.
  • Provide you full access to the Annual Gathering for the day of your presentation.
  • A testing voucher to take the official Mensa entrance exam.

In a typical poster session, presenters stand near their posters prepared to speak with interested attendees about their work. The best posters typically:

  • Highlight the main point so that it can be read and understood from a distance.
  • Limit the amount of text to 300-800 words -- less is more!
  • Include meaningful images, graphics, or charts to convey information.
  • Make use of basic visual design principles.
  • Are accessible to as many people as possible.
  • Include researcher names and affiliations, references, and funding acknowledgments

If you have any questions, please contact our Programs Chair.
