  Samco Sport® is proud to announce our brand-new website!
   
  Following the completion and successful rollout of our Parent Company website Silflex.com, samcosport.com was the next on the list for the Marketing Team and in great need of an overhaul.
  The task at hand was no mean feat. The old website had served us well, but the absence of any physical product listings or images meant to user experience could be improved and journey to purchase made easier. This new platform is built with the end-user and SEO performance in mind. 
   
  With over 4000 products available in 20 different colors, the first task was to collate all of our product data into a format that could be used by the website. Having previously provided customers with PDF's, this task has now allowed us to perfect our processes to better support our customers and allow them to update and upload their Samco Sport® inventory with ease.

  
  The updated Mobile First; look and feel is now in-keeping with our online activity across the board. Our #TeamSamco blog is a big improvement on the old platform and we look forward to providing up to date content from the world of Samco Sport® and our partners. The ability to show our social feed on the front page is something we always wanted to have on the old website but were unable to implement. With a company focus on digital content for 2021 and beyond, this addition will allow us to showcase our activity in a way we were unable to before.
  Perhaps the biggest improvement of all is the addition of product images. This now allows our customers (both consumer and distributor) to view the products and be confident that what they are searching for is right for their application. Another functionality we are particularly pleased with is the ability to display our trusted distributors by geolocation.

• Samco Sport® and RaceBikeBitz win sixth successive WorldSBK Riders’ Championship with Monster Energy Kawasaki WSBK Racing Team (Jan 14, 2021)

  SamcoSport® is proud to announce Jonathan Rea (KRT) secured his sixth successive WorldSBK Riders’ Championship win with a fourth place in the opening 21-lap race of the final round in Estoril. An incredible ride having started 15th on the grid. 

  The latest of Jonathan Rea’s six championship wins, all as an official Kawasaki rider, came after some early dramas as he fell in Tissot Superpole qualifying and had to start from the fifth row of the grid.

  Moving up to second place long before half race distance on his Ninja ZX-10RR Rea pushed hard inside the podium positions but had to settle for fourth place at the chequered flag.

  
  

  On the slow down lap, he celebrated his latest championship success on the track with a golden crash helmet, six ‘Superbowl style’ winners’ rings and special T-shirts for him all his team, marking his remarkable sextet of straight championship victories in memorable fashion.

  Rea still has one more major landmark to shoot for in 2020, as the next WorldSBK race victory would make it a magical 100 in all since he first started out in WorldSBK over a decade ago.

  Lowes had a tough and determined fight against both the official Honda machines in race one, as he showed his characteristic grit and desire, finishing inside the top six at a circuit completely new to him this weekend.

  One ten lap and a final 21-lap WorldSBK race remain for Jonathan and Alex at Estoril on Sunday, with each out to end what has been at times a highly unusual eight round championship campaign with a flourish.

  
  

  Jonathan Rea, stated: “I have no feeling right now; I cannot even look back. It has been an incredible journey this season. I want to thank WorldSBK, Dorna, all the circuits and organisers to even get racing this year. In the middle of what everyone has experienced in 2020 sport always comes second – but we managed to race. I miss the fans here, I miss not having my family and friends here, and all my travelling support from back home in Northern Ireland; I really miss that. They cannot be here right now but it is for all of them and my Kawasaki Racing Team, for keeping pushing this season. We started behind like last year but never gave up. It has been a hell of a journey and I am so happy.”

• Silflex and Samco Sport® support Covid-19 Ventilator Project (Jan 14, 2021)

  As the Covid19 pandemic has hit every nation, the UK government has been taking steps to increase the National Health Service’s ability to respond to the growing infection rate and in particular to increase its critical-care ventilator capacity.

  As part of this, Rolls Royce were tasked by the Cabinet Office to dramatically ramp-up production of the Smiths Medical paraPAC ventilator. In turn, Rolls Royce immediately reached out to Silflex and Samco for supply chain support.

  

  In response, our production sites within the UK have gone, overnight, from making a small number of ventilator hoses throughout the year to producing 8,000 units in under two weeks.

  Across the businesses we had to take a number of steps to ensure we could hit the demands set by the UK Government. This included our in-house fabrication room producing 36 four-way multicavity tools in less than a week, with each of the 8000 hoses then being hand built, cut to size and inspected to ensure they were of the absolute highest quality and standards for their intended vital lifesaving needs.

Their work is directly going to save lives and they should be very proud of their efforts.”

  New year, new updates!
  
  Many of the changes consist of yearly updates, however, you will notice a few new additions in the Ducati range of road bikes, as well as the new Honda CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade.
  
  In the off-road range, there has been some moving around within the Gas Gas section of the application list. The 2021 Gas Gas bikes are now listed under KTM part numbers. This ensures that we can keep more in stock for you when you need them whilst making the best use of the space in our ever-expanding warehouse of Samco Sport hose kits.
