  The Cornering Confidence online course solves the following problems and stands out from traditional training in the following ways:

  1. Exclusivity. Jon's proprietary course curriculum teaches a simplified cornering method, or formula, that targets a problem area that motorcyclists are motivated to solve. One of the most self-recognizable skill deficiencies is cornering ability.
  2. Location. Jon's online course stands out from traditional live training because students do not have to travel to a physical location to receive advanced training which can be hundreds of miles away.
  3. Scheduling. Regardless of location, many live courses have limited offerings, which may not work with student calendars of availability. Traditional live training coach/student relationships typically end once the course concludes. With Jon's online course, it’s expected that we will interact whenever an issue needs clarification or confirmation.
  6. Ongoing. The course is repeatable. The online course format allows students to retake it as often as they wish.  As rider experience grows, so will the appropriate application of certain techniques that perhaps they weren’t ready for in the initial course experience. Riders can also use the course as a skills resource or refresher as they return from time off the motorcycle.
  7. Learning Styles. The online course reaches students with underserved learning styles that traditional live training methods lack (i.e. repeating lessons, watching videos, taking remedial quizzes or reading text).
  8. Learning Pace. Some riders may need more time overall to absorb advanced training.  Certain learners prefer additional time to digest information between lessons. Traditional live training currently available solely sets the pace of learning, forcing some students to move on before fully understanding the content. Jon's online course allows students to progress at their true desired pace.
  9. Privacy. Jon's online course is discreet and less intimidating. Some motorcyclists are interested in further training. However, they may lack self-confidence in their skills being on display for others. Other riders may be concerned that they might drop their motorcycle in training, resulting in motorcycle damage or embarrassment.   10. Distance Learning is Common. Newer and/or younger riders already recognize the benefits of online learning. Distance learning is now ubiquitous in the world of training. Specifically, the MSF basic course participants are using it for part of their course. Therefore, they are more receptive to the method when ready for next level training. [Note: Other trainers are using various online coaching methods.  However, their services are by request, dependent on if they have the time to coach, seem to lack structure, and are charged by hourly rate. All of these are good, but Jon's course is organized into individual lesson objectives and evaluation points. Students build a series of standardized skills and conclude at a defined ending point.]
  11. Student Engagement. Due to the nature of online learning, students are actively in control of their progress and have less opportunity to daydream or avoid instruction. This leads to higher engagement when compared to other training methods.
  12. Lasting Social Distancing Issues: The Covid-19 pandemic has made certain people fearful of participating in large group activities. This may last a long time for certain individuals. Some people are in high-risk groups or simply find it best to social distance from others. Those that may have been motivated to enroll in a live in-person course may be hesitant to do so in the future. The online course provides an opportunity to improve riding skills despite possible health risks.

  March 22, 2020 – The Street Skills LLC motorcycling school announced a new partnership with the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America that enables its members 100% free access to its Cornering Confidence online course.
