The MN PMP is a tool to be used by prescribers to assist with managing their patients' care. The PMP contains Schedules II-V controlled substances, butalbitol, and gabapentin records submitted by pharmacies and prescribers that dispense in and into MN.

There are many NEW things happening at the MN Prescription Monitoring Program. Visit our website, or click the links below to learn about the following:
- Required review of a patient’s PMP history report when prescribing an opiate. Begins Jan. 1, 2021. For more information see MN §152.126 6(d).
- MN PMP Prescriber Education is now available and FREE. 2020 brings a four-part session online that can be taken at your convenience and will be available through December 31, 2020. Sessions begin with an overview of the program itself including information needed for licensees to comply with Minnesota legislative requirements. Sessions finish with data scientists explaining the analytics applied to the data to create the final graphs, summaries, and risk scores that account holders view MN PMP data in.
