Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF)
The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF), a non-profit 501(c)(3), provides safety programs to the public demonstrating how to ride elevators, escalators and moving walks safely. The programs are provided free-of-charge. The Safe-T Rider program is distributed to elementary schools. A Safe Ride is appropriate for adult facilities. Both Safe-T Rider and A Safe Ride are available as interactive online versions. Materials are available to celebrate National Elevator Escalator Safety Awareness Week every November. A university program, recently developed by EESF and Elevator U, now provides safety materials that are generic and appropriate for malls, airports, transit systems, etc. Tax-deductible contributions are welcome and needed to help spread the safety message.
