The principal at MEC has 40 plus years of onsite drilling experience with both day rate and turnkey situations along the gulf coast of Texas and Louisiana and throughout the state of Texas. MEC has supervised and/or operated wells with depths ranging from 1,200' to 23,600' including vertical and horizontal HT/HP wells with water base and oil based mud systems. MEC has Mid-Continent experience in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico and West Virginia with water base, air and foam mud systems for both vertical and horizontal wells.

Production
MEC hires experienced local contract pumpers and utilizes the I-Well production reporting system to stay on top of the well’s production allowing us to maximize each well’s potential.
Project Management
MEC can manage your exploration or development project from start to finish and offers A La Carte services to perform any consulting service throughout the process of a well’s life. We offer contract operating services should you want to get started on a project without having to get your P-5, bonding and credit with all the vendors.
Our Story
Years of Experience
In 1982, Paul Mueller joined the thriving operating and consulting company Mueller Engineering Corp. that his father Joseph P Mueller founded in 1957. Mueller Engineering operated over 100 wells and had 20 full time employees.

Mueller Energy Consulting currently has over 10 consultants working with us and we have the right man for your consulting needs. This experienced group has a minimum of 15 years of oilfield experience, with most having 30 plus years.
MEC currently performs services for over 10 oil and gas companies working in Texas and Louisiana with references available upon request.
Paul purchased Mueller Exploration, Inc. from his family in 1995 and as President of that company has managed countless exploration and development oil and gas projects. From their inception on paper, obtaining the leases, marketing the prospect/project, preparing the AFE’s, handled the preparation of the pad, the drilling, completion, production facility installation, managing the operating of the producing well(s) along with the plugging and location restoration at the end of the well’s life.
