Altosonic 5 for Pipeline Leak Detection of NGL's

Medium: Various Natural Gas Liquids (NGL's) pipeline into/out of caverns
Requirements: High accuracy flow measurement for pipeline leak detection. Must maintain accuracy over wide ranging fluid properties and varying mixtures of NGL consisting of ~ 60% Propane, 15% Butane, 13% Condensate, 10% Isobutane, and 2% Ethane.
Special Requirements: Since they use cleaning pigs to remove residue left on the pipeline walls, the meter had to be Full Bore and could not use a flow conditioning plate upstream of the meter. Since there was an ‘S’ bend and full-bore isolation valve directly upstream the flowmeter needed the highest immunity to distorted flow profiles.
