Description

Learn how you can enhance your emergency communications capability at no cost. State and local government organizations communicate by cellular, or landline networks shared with the public. Should those networks become overloaded due to high call volumes or other impairments, essential personnel and locations may not be able to communicate at a critical moment. These services provide priority communication capabilities to CISA’s 16 critical infrastructure sectors: Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) – an emergency calling card that can be used from virtually any telephone to provide priority for calls to and from landline phones, cell phones, and satellite phones. Wireless Priority Service (WPS) – an add-on feature to existing cellular service that provides priority for calls originated from cellphones. Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) – provides priority installation/repair of critical data and voice communications circuits.
