The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) creates and publishes display-related industry standards, including DisplayPort, DisplayPort Alt Mode for the USB Type-C connector, Embedded DisplayPort (eDP), DisplayHDR, Display Stream Compression (DSC), VESA Display Compression-M (VDC-M), and others. VESA is an international, non-profit standards association with a 30 year history and more than 280 member companies, including display, computer, component and software manufacturers. DisplayPort and related VESA standards have been implemented in over 1 billion products across the PC, laptop, gaming console/headset, smartphone, tablet, automotive, digital signage/kiosk and digital projector markets.
