ETRI RHP (real‐time holography processor) is a fast and efficient, scalable holographic video processor that uses a layer‐based method employing a modified inverse Fresnel transform. It is designed with a single‐layered holography core using a fixed‐point model and implemented on a field‐programmable gate array (FPGA). The real‐time hologram processor features a 1k × 1k fast Fourier transform and a 30 frames/sec conversion rate in 4K color spatial light modulators after applying 2× linear interpolation. It is capable of converting all real‐time images on computer screens, such as those found on YouTube and in movies, into holograms in just 22 milliseconds.
