Helio is creating materials for a new generation of brighter and more colourful displays that use significantly less energy.
Our founders, Prof. Henry Snaith and Prof. Sir Richard Friend, were among the original discoverers of the amazing optical properties of metal halide perovskites. Building on the earliest, broadest and most fundamental portfolio of perovskite IP, Helio is creating red and green materials for colour conversion. We are achieving exceptionally high conversion efficiency, narrow band emission and optical density. The outstanding properties of our patternable materials enable very thin colour conversion layers resulting in significant performance and manufacturing advantages for colour conversion architectures.
