SOMSAJANG'S FIRST SKINCARE PRODUCT
SOMSAJANG considered the collaboration between cotton pads and cosmetics during product development. We knew it was important to make sure our cotton pads were acutally thick enough to be called a "pad". A Cleansing pad that's actually thick! People say that thick toilet paper can clean better than thin toilet paper. This is something that has been know for quite some time, but many people only apply this reasoning to toilet paper. Somsajang makes real pads made from 100% pure cotton. Pure cotton is a natural, boidegradable fiber, which makes it an eco-friendly raw material. People have said that it is more important to remove makeup than to apply cosmetics. That's why the first skincare product we decided to make was a cleansing cotton pad that could remove makeup.
REMAINING FAITHFUL TO THE BASICS
What does the word "cleansing" mean today?
We live in cities that are filled with air pollution, especially ultrafine dust particles. Cleansing has therefore taken on a new role, one is which it not only removes makeup, but also ultrafine dust particles. It is very important to create a healthy moisture barrier on the skin after cleansing. Somsajang Cleansing Pads were created to remove makeup and ultrafine dust particles while leaving the skin feeling hydrated after cleansing. Somsajang believes that removing makeup and ultrafine dust particles as well as keeping the skin hydrated are the basic things a cleansing product should deliver in the present era.
Hyaluronic acid can henefit all skin types from sensitive and dry to oily and acne-prone because it helps reduce irritating side effects from stronger ingredients such as retinol that can feel harsh or dry out the skin. We have also disovered the use of a new ingredient, called "SACRAN". Sacran is a natrual giant molecular polysaccharide extracted from algae that has 10 times the moisture retention capacity than hyaluronic acid.
SOMSAJANG Cleansing pads are for not only makeup removal but also the removal of ultrafine dusts. In addition, it provides abundant moisture after cleansing so it will strengthen a barrier of your skin.

Quillaja Saponaria Bark Extract, Hyaluronic acid, SACRAN, Panax Notoginseng Root Extract
SACRAN: One of Sacran's most outstanding properties is its moisture-retention capacity. Water retention assays comparing the moisture retention capacity of Sacran with that of hyaluronic acid - commonly used as a moisturizer in cosmetics - have shown Sacran's capacity to be six times higher when pure water is used in the assay. Sacran has anti-inflammatory properties and skin barrier functions.
