PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative
The Pennsylvania Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Implementation Committee believes that the future of our forests depends on strengthening the connections between sustainable forests, thriving communities, and responsible purchasing. Our organization serves as the local arm of the SFI certification system and promotes wise forest stewardship throughout the Commonwealth. We train and develop the logger workforce, educate the public about the value of working forests, promote SFI forest certification, and assist with regulatory issues. Our alliance of deeply committed professionals from across the forestry community builds partnerships with many other conservation organizations who depend on the forest industry to advance their own missions.
