I started working in the Water and Sewer industry back in 1977 and continued that occupation for 40 years. Through the years I saw many water main breaks that cost the municipalities thousands of dollars in wasted water and hydro vac bills because they couldn’t get the valves closed due to frozen ground water. I always felt there had to be a way to improve the valve rods so they could be operated quickly and under any conditions.
My name is Wayne Reddekopp, and I created the patented Frost-Free Valve Operating Rod. Not only will this valve rod turn in any weather conditions imaginable, it will also work in any ground conditions, ice, gravel, debris etc. .
