Evac

  • Booth: 314

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Finland, Evac Group brings over four decades of vacuum know-how to buildings. Best known as the world's leading provider of integrated water and waste management for the maritime industry, we are also a trusted partner to building owners, architects and engineers on land. Over 1 million Evac vacuum toilets have been delivered. For buildings, Evac delivers complete vacuum plumbing systems. Vacuum drainage moves wastewater by pressure difference instead of slope, so small-bore piping can run level, overhead – even upward – and wet rooms go where the floor plan needs them, not where the stack is. ONE SYSTEM, FOUR PRODUCT LINES – Vacuum toilets: wall-hung models such as the Red Dot Award-winning Evac Optima® 7 – just 1.2 L (0.3 gal) per flush – Vacuum interface units: connect sinks, showers and floor drains to the same network – Vacuum collection units: create the vacuum, collect the waste and discharge it to the sewer – even from floors below it – Evac VacuConvert: the first gravity-to-vacuum conversion solution – keep your preferred toilet design WHERE VACUUM CREATES VALUE Adaptive reuse, healthcare, life sciences, mixed-use, retail, infrastructure, below-grade spaces and heritage buildings. Fewer slab penetrations and less demolition, faster, less disruptive construction, sealed and hygienic sanitation, and typically 80–90% less flushing water than gravity toilets. PROVEN IN DEMANDING PROJECTS A listed Saarinen landmark in London re-plumbed with 192 vacuum toilets and 559 interface units. A 72,000-seat stadium in Shanghai with more than 1,000 vacuum toilets. FULL LIFECYCLE SUPPORT Products meet IPC/UPC standards, are NSF-marked and UL-recognized. Evac supports your engineering, installation and inspection teams, commissions the system and backs it with training, spare parts, preventive maintenance and retrofits. Meet us at Booth #314 and at the Innovation Theater on Tuesday, October 13, 11:30 AM.

 Press Releases

  • The first gravity-to-vacuum conversion solution for building conversion and adaptive reuse projects.

September 18, 2025 – Evac introduced Evac VacuConvert™, an in-wall toilet frame that brings vacuum technology to conventional toilet models. Architects and developers can now combine their preferred modern toilet designs with the full power of vacuum sanitation – freeing layouts, speeding timelines and slashing water use in office-to-apartment projects, below-sewer-level spaces and heritage buildings with strict preservation rules.

“Conversions often stall on plumbing,” said Jari Pudas, Product Line Manager, Land-based Systems at Evac. “This is the bridge – pair your preferred bowl designs with vacuum, move wet areas where you need them, preserve the structure, and keep the schedule on track.”

Evac VacuConvert is available worldwide. See it at Booth #314.

  • Join Evac Group at the ASPE 2026 Innovation Theater.

Session: Architect's Guide to Vacuum Plumbing for Adaptive Reuse
When: Tuesday, October 13, 11:30–11:45 AM
Where: Innovation Theater, ASPE Pavilion, Expo floor
Speaker: Paul Garner, Sales Manager, Built Environment, Evac Group

Around one in five US offices stands vacant, and gravity drainage quietly decides where every new bathroom in a conversion can go. In 15 minutes, see how vacuum drainage moves waste by pressure difference instead of slope – so wet rooms follow the floor plan, not the stack – with real conversion projects and straight answers to the questions your client, engineer and code official will ask.

Continue the conversation at Booth #314.

 Products

  • Vacuum collection units – Evac HQE

The heart of every Evac system: it creates the vacuum, collects the waste and discharges it to the sewer – even from floors below it.

Hero product: Evac HQE vacuum collection unit, built for heavy-load buildings such as airports, railway stations, sports arenas and hotels.

    • Sewage is intercepted in the tank and never passes through the vacuum pumps – protecting them from clogging and misuse
    • Rotary-claw dry vacuum pumps: no water consumption and lower power use than liquid-ring systems
    • Compact design with a wide range of capacities, plus optional BMS connection for smart buildings

Collection units come in several configurations, including a modular tank series for North America that scales from under 20 to over 2,000 toilets. Our engineers at Booth #314 will help size the right unit for your building.

  • Evac VacuConvert

The first gravity-to-vacuum conversion solution: keep the toilet design you want and gain the full power of vacuum.

Evac VacuConvert is a sleek in-wall frame with a single smart vacuum discharge valve. It pairs with most modern wall-hung toilet bowls, so architects keep their design vision while engineers get vacuum performance.

    • No pitch, slab penetrations or roof vents – place wet areas far from or above existing stacks
    • Renovate without demolition and complete projects 15–20% faster
    • Up to 90% less water than gravity systems
    • Tested maximum lift of 4 m (13 ft)

Built for office-to-residential conversions, below-sewer-level spaces and heritage buildings. Available worldwide – share your bowl brand and model with our team at Booth #314 and we will confirm compatibility.

  • Vacuum toilets – Evac Optima® 7

Residential-grade, wall-hung vacuum toilets that look like a standard WC – and use a fraction of the water.

Hero product: Evac Optima® 7, winner of two Red Dot Awards. A rimless, antimicrobial bowl that removes 99.99% of surface bacteria, a soft-close seat with hidden fixings and just 1.2 L (0.3 gal) of fresh water per flush.

    • Typically 80–90% less water per flush than conventional gravity toilets
    • Sealed system: each flush draws ~60 L (2.1 ft³) of air, reducing mist and odor – no open traps to dry out
    • Waste moves by pressure difference, so wet rooms go where the plan needs them – not where the stack is

More than 1 million Evac vacuum toilets delivered since 1979. Model availability varies by market – visit Booth #314 and our team will help you select the right toilet for your project.

  • Vacuum interface units

The intelligent link between everyday fixtures and the vacuum network.

Hero product: Evac Vacuum Interface Unit. It connects sinks, showers, baths, urinals and floor drains to the same vacuum system as the toilets – so standard bathroom fittings work on vacuum, and existing fittings can stay in place in refurbishments.

    • Fully pneumatic – no electrical connection required
    • Discharges automatically as greywater collects, with flush memory and vacuum sensing for reliable operation
    • One network for every fixture – no parallel gravity lines to design
    • 2 L (polypropylene) and 5 L (AISI 316) versions, for downward or riser connection

Proven at scale: 559 greywater interface units serve the 137 reconfigured guest rooms of a listed Saarinen landmark in London. Ask our team at Booth #314 which configuration suits your project.
