  • For several years, FBS has placed an emphasis on technology and ​virtual support​ to assist employers and staff members with managing employee benefits. Coupled with the increased demand for virtual resources, FBS is proud to offer the following tools to help our clients achieve their open enrollment goals in the 2020-21 plan year in the wake of COVID-19:

    • Enhanced Call Center: During open enrollment, the FBS Call Center will offer extended hours with enhanced agent support for both English and Spanish speakers.
    • One-On-One Virtual Appointments - Employees will be able to book a one-on-one call with an FBS Benefits Representative to address questions about their benefits and open enrollment​.
    • Virtual Group Meetings with Live Q&A support: Our Benefit Consultants will host live virtual group meetings and answer questions your staff may have about their benefits enrollment​.
    • Robust Digital Communication Tools: THEbenefitsHUB, Benefit Education Portal, SMS Notifications, FBS Mobile App, safesynx COVID-19 Symptom Screener, and Interactive Benefit Guides are all powerful tools that offer educational resources to engage and educate your staff – all at the touch of a button​.

    The Texas Schools Health Benefits Program is a regionally rated, fully-funded, guaranteed cost program developed for Texas school districts. The TSHBP is available to most districts as another group health medical option alongside TRS-ActiveCare. Our purpose is to support the school children of Texas. We do this by providing health benefit solutions to our dedicated teachers, administrators, and support staff so they can concentrate on what they do best – teaching and supporting our kids.

  • The Texas Schools Health Benefits Program is a regionally rated, fully-funded, guaranteed cost program developed for Texas school districts. Our purpose is to support the school children of Texas. We do this by providing health benefit solutions to our dedicated teachers, administrators, and support staff so they can concentrate on what they do best – teaching and supporting our kids. It is our desire to increase member health and well-being and provide tools necessary to identify and manage the health of each and every member.

    The TSHBP is proud to offer a variety of plans and benefits to meet school district needs. Plans for 2020-21 include our High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and our CoPay Plan (CPP). Both plans are designed so members can easily navigate through their health medical needs.

    TSHBP plans are available for school district employees who are employed by participating districts and are active, contributing TRS members.
