  • AUSTIN, Tex.—December 2, 2020—TCP (TimeClock Plus), a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced the acquisition of Humanity, an industry-leading cloud-based employee scheduling platform that enables its customers to easily and accurately create dynamic schedules for staff. The feature-rich, proven scheduling solution will be integrated into TCP’s cloud-based workforce management software suite.

“Over the last year, we’ve made big strides to become a workforce management leader—from new funding and leadership, to delivering a new brand experience and a new way of thinking about our contributions to the workforce management field,” stated Eric Thurston, CEO at TCP. “Our first acquisition is an exciting next chapter in our story as we continue to focus on the needs of our customers, and we are thrilled to welcome Humanity into the TCP family.”

Humanity is a top-tier employee scheduling solution used by more than 175,000 business locations to manage schedules, employee availabilities, shift trades and day-off requests. The software simplifies day-to-day employee scheduling to easily and accurately create error-free, dynamic schedules for staff by location, department, position and/or skills—with real-time availability and conflict checking. Humanity’s scheduling features will enhance the TCP workforce management solution.

    Highlights include:

Forecasting - Predict staffing needs based on key business metrics and tie-in with the scheduling process. Integrate point-of-sale and other external business data to forecast scheduling needs from week to week based on sales, foot traffic and other important KPIs.

Compliance - The custom rules engine ensures schedules are compliant with federal, state and local regulations with instant conflict warnings. Guarantee laws are followed for hours worked, break frequency, time between shifts and more.

Mobile Shift Management - Empower employees to manage schedules from their mobile device. Employees can request time off, release shifts, pick up open shifts and adjust their availability with minimal supervisor involvement. Create multiple locations and departments as needed and manage them all from one account or divide into group accounts with custom access and permissions.

Auto and Flex Scheduling - Automatically generate conflict-free schedules, copy shifts, import schedules, etc. Set rules to avoid overtime and undertime and optimize schedules by assigning shifts based on custom variables, such as seniority and preferences, with rules for maximum days in a row and shift limits.

Real Time Schedule Updates - Updates display in real time where you are overstaffed or understaffed. This allows managers to respond to changes in business circumstances such as posting open shifts and released shifts for pickup, or quickly finding a replacement for an absence.

“Humanity's mission is to give organizations better control over their work schedules while ensuring maximum productivity, and this move will help us achieve that mission on an even larger scale than before,” said Chris Amani, CEO at Humanity. “We are delighted to align ourselves with TCP and incorporate our scheduling tools into their comprehensive workforce management suite of solutions.”

Deutsche Bank and Goodwin Procter acted as financial advisor and legal advisor, respectively, to Humanity.

    About TCP

For more than 30 years, TCP (TimeClock Plus) has helped organizations engage their people by providing flexible, mobile timekeeping and workforce management solutions. Trusted by tens of thousands of customers and millions of users, TCP delivers best-in-class technology and personalized support to organizations of all sizes in the public and private sectors to meet their complex timekeeping, employee scheduling, leave management, and other workforce needs.

  • AUSTIN, Tex.—November 17, 2020—TCP, a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced the addition of Employee Document Management. This new feature, the result of an integration with eFileCabinet, enables HR teams to easily keep track of all employee documentation with controlled access, unlimited storage and simplified organization through the TimeClock Plus interface.

As HR teams expand their responsibilities to cope with the health and safety of employees in multiple locations, it is crucial that their time and energy is not lost on managing the many documents associated with each employee. A single employee file contains numerous documents including, but not limited to, onboarding forms, contracts, payroll, performance reviews, medical insurance plans, elected tax withholdings and termination letters.

In addition, the US Department of Labor has the right to audit organizations, both randomly and in response to specific complaints, to confirm they are in compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Without digital document management, the process of gathering all the required documentation for employees is time consuming and can cost organizations both directly and indirectly. TCP’s employee document management solution solves this problem by enabling HR teams to easily compile the necessary data to demonstrate compliance when called upon and execute self audits periodically.

"We are excited to partner with the leader in workforce management, TCP. Our business process and document management solutions are powerful human resources’ tools to further enhance

TCP's people processes, including streamlined FMLA procedures,” stated Jesse Wood, CEO, eFileCabinet.

TCP’s Employee Document Management allows organizations to store and access documents by providing:

Storage – Automatically store and consolidate employee documents with unlimited storage space. Documents in various formats may be uploaded into a single source enabling TCP’s workforce management solution to support all documentation needs even as organizations grow, with no restrictions on capacity.

Organization – Multiple categories may be created and viewed in a drop-down menu by customized groups such as payroll, training, benefits, etc., allowing all documents to be uploaded and viewed in a single source. Time previously spent shuffling through a file cabinet is now replaced by a click on the drop-down menu from a desktop. Complete transparency in regard to any incomplete or missing documentation is an additional benefit.

Security – It is extremely important to keep HR information secure, which includes personal information such as social security numbers, addresses, birthdates, etc. This is addressed by giving different configurations to managers and users, with access specifically assigned by the HR administrator. Complete control of what documents can be viewed and/or edited is in the hands of management, providing strict and limited access where needed.

“Additional demands are placed on HR teams as their workforce is increasingly operating from different locations, which requires access to digital documentation to maintain business as usual,” said Leslie Bodnar, Chief Marketing & Product Officer, TCP. “We continue to add capabilities to our robust workforce management solution based on our customers’ needs so that every new feature demonstrates immediate and measurable business value.”

  • AUSTIN, Tex.—October 20, 2020—TimeClock Plus (TCP), a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced a new brand identity that represents the company’s rich 30-year history in time and attendance and symbolizes the evolution of its portfolio into integrated workforce management solutions. As part of this new brand identity, TimeClock Plus will be known as TCP.

Our portfolio has expanded into a unified suite of solutions to manage the workforce including scheduling, leave management, employee document management and hundreds of payroll and other software integrations that help our customers automate common data workflows.”

Since January, TCP has made key product updates to improve user experience and workflow, as well as add functionality that further expands TCP’s time and attendance foundation into workforce management. These updates include:

    · Integrated workforce management features – TCP has built on its time and attendance core to provide a more complete workforce management suite, including employee scheduling; substitute search and management; enhanced configurability on accrual caps; shift schedule importing; new notification options for managers to keep up-to-date on employee schedules, health and well-being

    · MobileClock App – To meet organizations’ needs when managing a growing mobile and remote workforce, TCP’s new mobile app is available this week to provide a faster and more dynamic user experience for checking in and out, requesting time off and more

    · Back to the Workplace solutions – New hardware offerings including touchless clock operations with CDC questions on clock in/out as well as employee temperature scanning help organizations manage the enhanced safety protocols of a COVID-compliant workplace

    · Improved usability – An updated user interface including enhanced visibility for managers into employee data; accessibility improvements including user alerts and messages, ability for users to set their own languages, and enhanced ARIA attributes and screen reader attributes all make TCP’s interfaces more configurable and easier for both employees and their managers to use

    · Employee Document Management – coming in November 2020, new employee document management capabilities will give HR teams the ability to automatically store and consolidate employee documents for FMLA compliance

“The rebrand goes beyond a new logo,” said Leslie Bodnar, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at TCP. “Our mission is to empower people to work better, and we’re leveraging our rich history to continue innovating and delivering solutions that help organizations manage their workforce more effectively, reduce HR operating costs, and increase employee satisfaction.

“Our fresh, clean brand reflects the company’s empathetic and reliable commitment to providing customers with professional, scalable and easy to deploy solutions, along with personalization and the best service and support in the industry. The time was right to provide a better brand experience that makes it easier for our clients to find and acquire workforce management solutions that align with and address their needs, from accurate time tracking and paying employees on time, to workforce scheduling, leave management and managing mobile employees,” said Bodnar.

  • AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TimeClock Plus, a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced its Return to Work solution, the first-available hardware and software combination to give both public and private organizations the capabilities needed to ensure the health and safety of their workers as the economy reopens and case numbers fluctuate.

This solution consists of a thermal scanner add-on to TimeClock Plus’ physical time clocks that can register an employee’s temperature from 18-24 inches away, as well as software that can track employee temperature over time, prompt employees to answer a customizable health questionnaire and establish a history for contact tracing. The system can be set up to ask both Center for Disease Control (CDC) diagnostic and other customer-configurable questions at clock in and clock out to track the safety and well-being of employees.

Organizations in all industries—from education, public safety and state and local government to healthcare and manufacturing—are responsible for providing a safe and healthy workplace. As in-person operations resume for many industries across the country, the CDC recommends that organizations conduct daily in-person or virtual health checks, and have procedures in place for identifying where and how workers might be exposed to COVID-19. TimeClock Plus’ solution meets these requirements by enabling employers to:

Ensure employees are healthy before they report to work—The thermal sensor will require a temperature reading and answers to a health questionnaire before employees can clock in for the day, and the software will measure that temperature against the employee’s historic readings to identify any deviations from trends.
Encourage employees to follow proper protocols if they do not pass a health check—Organizations can determine their preferred policy, customized by worker type. For example, if an employee shows an elevated temperature, they can be directed to call HR or their supervisor, or be instructed to work from home until further notice.
Establish a contact tracing database—Organizations will be notified where and when at-risk employees have clocked in and out, streamlining the process of alerting other employees who may need to isolate.
“Organizations face many challenges when it comes to creating a safe environment for their employees. Even taking temperatures can be complicated; many companies assign a person to temperature-taking duty, but that person is put in a high-risk situation due to their close proximity to every person coming through the door,” said Eric Thurston, CEO, TimeClock Plus. “Our Return to Work solutions eliminate that risk, giving organizations a nearly touchless way to monitor worker health and ease concerns so that employees can focus on their work.”

The Return to Work solution has earned a Gold Stevie Award, granted by the Stevie Awards for Great Employers, for the impact it has on companies that are working to best protect their employees while ensuring safe and efficient operations.

To make its solutions more accessible and customizable, TimeClock Plus has also released a new tiered pricing structure. Organizations can choose monthly or annual plans that suit those looking for just time and attendance solutions up to complex organizations needing more complete visibility into their workforce, including advanced leave and overtime, job costing, annualized employee management and more.
