  Choice Partners - Become a Member

  Colleges, universities, school districts, charter schools, municipalities,

  counties, other governmental entities, and nonprofits are invited to

  streamline the procurement process by joining Choice Partners, the

  purchasing cooperative of Harris County Department of Education

  (HCDE).

  Choice Partners completes the due diligence to meet legal requirements,

  including issuing a Request for Proposal, evaluating

  responses and recommending contracts, which are awarded by the

  HCDE governing board.

  1. Download and complete an interlocal agreement at

  www.ChoicePartners.org/become-a-member. A few benefits to

  signing up for membership is that there is no charge, no usage

  requirement and immediate access to vendors.

  2. Register for login ID. Go to

  www.choicepartners.org/member-login and select

  Set Up A New Account.

  3. Once prompted, enter the name of your entity, then select

  organization from the selection menu.

  4. Complete registration process by entering your name,

  username and password to complete setup.

  Once new account is authorized, members can begin viewing all contract

  details. Each member may have as many logins as they want, simply

  repeat the setup process with unique usernames and passwords. Call the

  HCDE Choice Partners purchasing cooperative provides legal contracts for supplies and services for school districts, charter school systems, universities, colleges, counties, cities, all governmental agencies and not-for-profits.

  We are always looking for great vendors.

  Businesses have the opportunity to compete to become a vendor for Harris County Department of Education and for HCDE’s Choice Partners purchasing cooperative, which serves school districts and government clients.

  1. Register as a supplier at no cost by logging on to:

  • Gain access to 100s of Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Get email notifications of upcoming bid opportunities in your selected categories. 
  • Compete for a contract you can use to sell to government agencies nationwide. 

  2. Current Request for Proposals (RFPs) are listed at www.choicepartners.org/current-rfps

  3. If selected, receive the awarded contract. Once awarded, government entities can place orders using this contract.

  Choice Partners contracts and services are not exclusive to the Houston area but have expanded and are now available nationwide. Schools, colleges, universities, municipalities, counties, state agencies, governmental entities, as well as nonprofits can join and use Choice Partners contracts. Choice can help save time when needed most because contracts are already competitively procured. Organizations can become a member at no cost and vendors pay a small percentage fee back to Choice Partners. All revenue exceeding expenses to provide procurement services supports education.
