Because no two companies are identical, it is important to avoid relying on generic or boilerplate ergonomics programs and to strategically align your ergonomics program elements to fit your organization’s culture and needs. Using experience gleaned over decades of working with unique circumstances, our presentation will highlight many specific situations and discuss various customized program solutions that have proven successful. We will discuss 3 directions for starting ergonomics program and 8 key components for existing programs to use as a “self-check” tool to identify areas of needed improvement. Be prepared to connect your company’s specific situation to customized solutions that will result in a highly successful ergonomics process.
