Description

As Ergonomists and/or Safety Professionals, we all know that there is currently not an OSHA Standard in Ergonomics. However, across our industries we are seeing more and more work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) occurring in our workplaces. Therefore, it can be a daunting task implementing an effective and sustainable ergonomics program. This presentation focuses on how to develop and implement your organization’s ergonomics program. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of ensuring a common level of understanding throughout your organization, how to identify signs and symptoms of WMSDs, practices to protect your personnel from ergonomics risks, and the review of the components of an ergonomics program. Finally, best practices and lessons learned will be imparted to assist you with sustaining your ergonomics program.
