Description

The NIOSH Total Worker Health (TWH)™approach is clear that improving the health and wellness of employees will consequently and inherently improve injury risk and safety. Atlas has long understood and appreciated the interdependence between health, injury avoidance, and safety behaviors and integrates this philosophical approach with virtually all clients. In this presentation we will explore one such customized approach and how it was disseminated during the pandemic to a large transit employer in the Seattle Metro to provide engagement and risk reduction. Public Transit drivers face a unique set of challenges other industries do not – specifically ergonomics, injury risk, compliance with medical requirements to drive, layered upon the stress of driving a bus and interacting with the public in the midst of a pandemic. This session will showcase the synergies between multiple onsite services and how these solutions align to improve the health and well-being of its workforce.
