Description
Chevron has always had a very robust ergonomics program. Addressing high-risk and workers in discomfort by providing state-of-the-art equipment and a corporate standard of practice. This effort was supported for our corporate employees by two teams based in CA and TX. Ergonomic support became a priority from the organization with the sudden WFH. Workspaces consisted of traditional home offices, kitchen tables, and even lawn furniture. This presentation will demonstrate how two RSIP teams worked together, leveraged technology, and expanded services where other parts of the organization limited theirs. Over 10,000 workers received ergonomic support from our corporate teams in 2020. We will continue to provide full remote support to some locations using our new model, even as we return to the office spaces. Because of the pandemic, we have the opportunity to truly move to a risk-based delivery model, making efficient changes to a program that has been in place for over 20 years.
