Description

This workshop will be an interactive session to help attendees consider both their personal development as an ergonomics professional, as well as how they can approach developing resources in their organization to support an ergonomics program.  The first half of the session will focus on a competency model for training all levels of employees within an organization.  David Brodie will illustrate how this model is being incorporated into a global competency model for Cargill, and how this model can be tailored to any organization to build the ergonomics knowledge and capabilities of all levels in an organization.  The second half of the workshop will then focus on how a person can achieve certification in ergonomics through the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE).   In addition to an overview of the certification process, attendees will be able to walk through their current applications to help navigate the system.
