Building a District-Wide STEAM Program That Works

This session shares the School District of Lodi’s journey in building and growing a K‑12 STEAM program that is both scalable and sustainable. The presenters will outline the district-level vision and strategic planning that laid the foundation, followed by a detailed look into how the technology department launched, implemented and continues to evolve the STEAM experience for students. The presentation will highlight key elements such as staffing, scheduling, curriculum design, community partnerships and ongoing program assessment. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to begin or enhance a STEAM program in their own districts, including actionable tools, timelines and common pitfalls to avoid.
