  • BENEFITS OF A PRODUCT RECOVERY SYSTEM

TrueClean® Product Recovery Systems increase your product yields and reduce clean-in-place (CIP) costs by recovering the residual product left behind in the lines after your process. This reduces the amount of time it takes to clean these sections of line.

In many cases, the time, water, and chemicals saved offset the cost of the system.

TrueClean’s Product Recovery Systems utilize CSI pig projectiles that are reliable, highly effective, and efficient sanitary projectiles. The projectile silicone is 3-A and FDA compliant. Choose from our manual, basic, or automated return packages.

    APPLICATION

In the past, product recovery systems used to require extensive trial and error before a new system was properly tuned. Many customers abandon the project due to frustration and projectile failures. In contrast, a Product Recovery Control System from TrueClean comes preconfigured for your application and should operate successfully right out of the box.

TrueClean’s Product Recovery Control Systems are a simple, economical, and efficient way to regulate the operation of your Product Recovery System. It takes the guess work out of setting up and controlling the start, stop, pressure, and proper airflow required to have a successful product recovery cycle.

    LITERATURE

  • BENEFITS OF ALFA LAVAL MIXPROOF VALVES

Controlled from a remote location by means of compressed air, these valves allow product to flow from one line to the other without spillage. They also allow clean-in-place (CIP) fluid to flow and clean one chamber while product is running in the other chamber, without the risk of cross-contamination.

They are designed for potential uses in food, dairy, beverage, brewery, and home & personal care industries.

    UNIQUE BASIC

The Alfa Laval Basic mixproof valve is a lower cost solution that still provides the safety, separation, and leakage detection needed in a mixproof valve design. It is a normally closed (NC) valve that is controlled from a remote location by means of compressed air.

Two independent plug seals separate the two liquids, and the space between the two seals forms an atmospheric chamber. When the valve is open the chamber is closed, allowing the product to flow from one line to the other without spillage.

All Unique mixproof valves are compatible with Alfa Laval ThinkTop valve sensing and control devices, which fulfill regulatory requirements for detection of seat lift and feedback signal.

    UNIQUE PMO PLUS®

The Alfa Laval Unique PMO Plus® mixproof valve offers all the performance of a Unique Mixproof valve and, in addition, meets the requirements of 3-A/PMO standards. The mixproof valve design allows clean-in-place (CIP) fluid to flow to clean one chamber while product is running in the other chamber, without the risk of cross-contamination.

Eliminating clean-in-place (CIP) downtime and allowing automated product transfer are just two of the advantages that mixproofs provide. Unique PMO Plus Mixproof Valves combine Alfa's superior cleanability and reliability with the required features for meeting the PMO standard making it a powerful solution for dairy applications.

    UNIQUE TANK OUTLET

The Unique tank outlet mixproof valve features the same advantages as the Unique mixproof valve, but is specially designed for mounting directly on the tank wall at tank inlets and outlets.

For tank inlet and outlet applications, the Unique tank outlet (TO) mixproof valve offers full drainability and provides cleanability all the way up to the tank without any risk of cross-contamination.

    UNIQUE CP-3

The Alfa Laval Unique Mixproof CP-3 is designed with user flexibility in mind. Configurable for applications in all sanitary industries, including compliance with Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) and 3-A Sanitary Standards for continuous dairy processing, the modular design offers a wide variety of options.

  • CLEAN-IN-PLACE SYSTEMS AND DESIGN

Every industry and facility has unique needs. CSI can fabricate a custom system to accommodate any requirements. Our process engineers methodically consider each and every detail while designing these skids to meet unique user needs.

    Compact CIP

Compact CIP is a mobile, cost-effective clean-in-place (CIP) system designed to serve the needs of processors in the sanitary industry without compromising functionality or quality.

The Compact CIP product line was originally conceived for customers new to CIP and for those with smaller budgets. With these customers in mind, mobility and versatility became key features. Compact CIP has large caster wheels and a small footprint, allowing it to be moved easily.

Compact CIP is also a solution for well-established plants that want to expand their CIP capabilities, but do not want to commit to a hard-piped, centralized CIP system. Plants concerned with allergen crossover can dedicate individual Compact CIP skids to different areas of the plant, mitigating any potential for contamination.

    CIP 2.0

CIP 2.0 is a controls system designed for the modern production plant. The data tracking features, lock/unlock configuration screens, and maintenance manuals—which are all stored digitally on the skid—are especially beneficial for food, dairy, and beverage plants.

The controls provide the flexibility and functionality needed to maintain standards set forth in the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). CIP 2.0 is also CFR21 and S88 compliant.

A 15-inch Allen-Bradley Industrial Environment touchscreen gives access to a number of pages where plant personnel can configure, run, and monitor washes in real time, view trend charts, see alarms and alarm history, and view equipment manuals. Valve stroke counts and pump run times can be accessed from the main screen to assist in predictive and preventative maintenance. The information is presented intuitively, making operation safe and effective.

    Custom CIP

Every industry and facility has unique needs that may not match the CSI standard clean-in-place (CIP) systems. When this is the case, CSI can fabricate a custom system to accommodate any requirements.

Customization is often used for applications that require specialized programming or mechanical equipment. A custom CIP system allows the user freedom to choose from a vast supply of sanitary options.

Systems built for pharmaceutical and biotech industries have stringent needs that often require special tank designs, high purity valves and pumps, higher finish requirements, and full documentation. Processors in the food, dairy, and beverage industries can need individualized controls. CSI works directly with Rockwell Automation Group to program skids to user specifications.

  • Properly Designed

Our 3-D design capability gives a visual replication of how a process skid system will look when it is fabricated. CSI experts use web-based drawing review for all projects. This reduces the drawing approval time by allowing the customer to simultaneously include local, national, and global parties in the review process.

    On-Budget

From the time a request for bid is issued, CSI experts begin looking at the process system. At this time, experts make recommendations and point out potential problem areas to help avoid later hang-ups that could result in costly change orders. CSI takes a proactive approach to solutions to optimize customer return on investment.

    Pre-Tested

Once the system is fabricated, it is moved to our state-of-the-art factory acceptance test (FAT) area for testing. The FAT testing allows CSI experts and customers to observe the system, check out overall construction, and ensure everything meets specifications before it is ever sent to the site.

    Inspected and Documented

In high purity applications, inspection and documentation are a critical portion of a system. Without them, nothing can move forward. The CSI documentation package not only covers industry standard documentation, but also the documentation that is specific to each facility based on the customer requirements.
