GEA offers efficient processes and technologies for both automated and batch pet food processing. Our solutions support manufacturers with technologies for treats, dry, wet and raw pet food production. At this year’s Petfood Forum, we will focus on:
- Extrusion is the most common production method of dry pet food, achieving a shelf-life of 12 months. GEA dry pet food capabilities cover flour handling, meat preparation, the entire extrusion process as well as final product handling and packaging.
- Freeze Drying - the highly efficient RAY® range produces pet food products that maintain nearly all their original nutrient properties and appearance and have a long shelf life. Freeze dried foods retain much of their original, uncooked appearance and flavor, they lightweight, have a long shelf life and can be stored at room temperature.
GEA also provides a complete range of equipment for integration into any plant, including separators, decanters, pumps, valves, product recovery systems, homogenizers, freezers, defrosters, refrigeration systems, spray dryers, pasteurizers, pre-crushers, grinders, mixers, emulsifiers, and product recovery systems.
