Although he had years of experience solving roof problems, it was not until Anderson traveled to snow areas of Europe that he finally discovered how to prevent damage caused by snow and ice sliding off roofs. Having learned that the solutions were very different from standard practices in the US, he brought that knowledge back to America and was able to design and manufacture Snow Brackets™ and Snow Fences for all types of roofs as well as to help establish the concept of cold roof systems in the US.
During winter, as snow accumulates on your home, gravity will begin to pull it down the slope of your roof. There are several reasons why this can be harmful and costly. With a snow retention system, snow stops and guards hold snow in place, allowing it to melt on the roof instead.
