Freight Forwarder for US & Canada

The official freight forwarder for shipments originating from the United States or Canada is CFI Perishables.

CFI Perishables will work closely with Resa to provide expedited services to and from the exposition. They will arrange the export and air/sea freight from the US and Canada to arrival at the Barcelona Airport/seaport. Upon arrival, Resa will perform the veterinary inspection, intermediate clearance, trucking to the exhibition center, customs clearance and on-site handling.

To arrange your shipments refer to the CFI Shipping Instructions and contact CFI directly at Don.Ehrlich@cfiperishables.com.

Tips for Shipping Your Exhibit

  • All shipments by air should be routed to the Barcelona Airport and by ocean to the Barcelona Seaport.
  • Consignment instructions as outlined by Resa Expo Logistics should be strictly followed.
  • Contact Resa in advance for on-time shipment arrival.

Courier Deliveries Not Advised

TO YOUR STAND – The venue does not receive, customs clear or store any incoming shipments from courier companies. If you intend to ship goods directly to your stand, you need to be there in order to sign off the delivery note of your transport company.

PERISHABLES – Temperature control courier shipments (DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx) can become a serious problem since these courier companies cannot perform customs / health clearances nor are there cold storage facilities available to these companies at Barcelona airport.

Label All Freight

Make sure all freight is clearly marked with your company name, event name (Seafood Expo Global or Seafood Processing Global), and your hall and stand number. To expedite material handling place labels on the SIDES of your containers.

Shipping Deadlines

Refer to the Resa Shipping Document for perishable and non-perishable shipments within the EU and outside of the EU.

Outbound Shipments

Contact Resa at seafood@resaexpo.com to pre-book your arrival time at the Marshalling Yard for the reloading of your outbound shipments. Refer to the Vehicle Access, Parking & Directions.

Cold Storage, Ice & Labels

Cold Storage

Review the Cold Storage Form as soon as possible to and follow the steps outlined to guarantee storage for your seafood products.

The Event Organizer will supply complimentary refrigerator & freezer storage for seafood products only. Once Resa receives your goods, they will send you a reference number. Keep this reference number with you so Resa staff will be available to quickly identify your shipment and show you which reefer unit it is stored. An exhibitor badge is required to retrieve seafood products during exposition days.
